VICTORY FROM THE CROSS

SALVATION WON

SALVATION LOST

SALVATION LOST

The wages of sin is death. Jesus Christ died on the Cross to pay the ransome for us. He saved us from eternal death. We are not saved by our own power. We are saved by Jesus Christ alone.

He loves us.

SALVATION LOST

SALVATION LOST

SALVATION LOST

Can salvation be lost if it has already been won? Yes. Even Jesus said to the women who was accused of adultery that her sins were forgiven.

He was also careful to warn her to, "Sin no more".  It's a lesson for all of us. He didn't pay the price on the Cross so we could call out to Him, "Lord Lord!" and then keep on sinning. Quite the opposite. Jesus expects us to be His disciples and to SIN NO MORE.

Mortal Sins should be confessed during reconciliation.

Mortal Sins are the grave sins that separate us from God.

We need to examine our conscience and seek out a priest for confession.

Jesus will give you absolution (through the priest) if you are resolved to make reparations for the damage you caused by sinning and in confession you promise to SIN NO MORE.

Once this commitment is made and you've examined your conscience, you will need to seek out confession. During confession you will tell Jesus all of your sins. At the end of your confession you will read the Act of Contrition. And then the priest, who is in persona Christi, will pray over you and absolve you (through Jesus) of your sins and you must do your penance and pray.

God's infinite Mercy: God is merciful. He Loves us. We must love him back by trying to be Holy, or in other words, live without sin.

Remember, God Loves You!  Even when you stumble and fall, He is there to pick you up and start anew! Thank you sweet Jesus!
